Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I hate Caribbean networks!!! I mean I love everything about the islands ...... EXCEPT the fact that we can feel totally secluded from the rest of the world because of a cloud!!! (Well actually a lot of dark clouds arranged in Tropical storms!!.... But still!)
It is soooo frustrating!!
Grrrrrr!!!

All right, anger is gone!!

I am now almost totally relaxed

Well, let's go play video games now

See ya

Yesterday, for the French Mother's Day, my Mum and I went on a friend's catamaran (I actually work there as a skipper) to a deserted island named Prickly Pear. It is about 50 miles North from St Martin.

It was fantastic. I know, I have been there like so many times.... but it is still breathtaking!
I made a lot of pictures!! We caught a fish and cooked fish and meat on a barbecue. We also ate salad, rice, French cheese, fruits and the cake that I had brought.

After eating and a nap on the catamaran's net, we swam to the Coral Reef Barrier and jumped in a 3 foot high lagoon called Shark nursery. All sharks there are babies.
We played with them and I did not even have my camera with me at that time ... damn it!!

Then we went back and watched a wonderful sunset on our way back. Fantastic!! My Mum and I have just one sunburn but we had so much fun!

Life here in the Caribbean is going wonderfully, except that my nights are agitated with nightmares!! I hate those dreams that make you shiver when you think about them!!

Alright, I need to go jump in the pool!! There is a water volley party starting between my parents! I'd better go.

Take care

Aurore

GRE Update: GRE sucks!!!

Seniors will know what I am talking about!

So I bought 3 books to work on the GRE, Graduate Record Exam, which I will be taking by the end of July.
I know it's a difficult test, and I know that the verbal part is going to literally bomb me ... but it depresses me each time I open those damn books!!

The word of the day ..... *drumming* .... Apocryphal.
Some of you might know, but I don't. So I look in my French/English translating dictionary for the translation.
It says "Apocryphe" !! How is that supposed to help me!!
I finally look for the definition in a French encyclopedia that states "a religious book which origin is doubtful." I then try to answer the question knowing that valuable piece of information! .... But I happen to be wrong!
Frustrated, I look at the explained answer that says: "Apocryphal is used in the GRE as being something false, corrupted." How the hell am I supposed to know that the test makers decided to use the word the way they wanted!
So upset for that attempt to fool me (there might be a conspiracy behind that ! ;-p ), I decided to go take a nap on the beach next to where I live: Orient Bay!

If you feel as frustrated as I am about that, do not hesitate to leave a comment! It will make all of us feel better.

Take care

Aurore
